And to our friends to the south this is a thing here in Canada
This seems to be done less and less.
Back in the 80s-90s almost every moose hunter would drive around with their trophy on the hood or roof of their truck or cars.
Now I rarely see it done.
Don’t get me wrong I like moose meat, but always found that disturbing and disgusting

I’m from rural Maine and I’ve never seen this.
That being said. If I did see someone with a moose head tied to their truck I wouldn’t feel a lot of surprise.

I wonder what the reaction would be to this in a big city like NYC

I’ve seen just a rack, from deer, moose, or elk. But never a whole head.

Haven’t seen this in Michigan but I did see someone mailing a deer head at a UPS store once. The clerk was not only not surprised but had obviously done this a few times before as they had packing tips for the deer head owner to make sure none of the antler tips broke during shipping.

I have never seen this in Wisconsin for deer. Deer draped over the hood like an idiot, yes. Head as a hood ornament, no.

I like the truck. I do not like the animal head on the truck. I’ve always thought that sort of stuff is extremely fucked up.

That’s assuming they still have their minds.

No idea, but a former coworker of mine catches dinosaur fish and poses with them.

No, I’ve never even seen this in Alabama. I think there’s some sort of law against having dead animals visibly strapped to your vehicle, too.
